Winning a planning permission is key to achieving a successful project and the planning process continues to become ever more complicated. Specialist input from other consultants is often needed and we will coordinate their input as part of our service. Before any planning application is made, we will develop a planning strategy for the project including the need or wisdom of pre-application advice from the Local Planning Authority. At every step of the way we will keep our clients fully informed and be prepared to alter the planning strategy in response to changing circumstances. We act as planning consultants or work alongside clients’ own planning advisors.

In addition to our excellent design skills in creating buildings, places and spaces that are elegant, functional and sustainable, we are well-known for the quality of our technical documentation for construction. This documentation includes drawings, schedules and specifications which allows building contractors to accurately price and build out our clients’ projects. We will adapt the contents of the package to suit the construction procurement method and the developer’s own experience and approach to project management. We regularly work with contractors on design and build projects as their architect during the construction phase.
VIEW OUR FEATURED HOTEL& LEISURE PROJECTS
Where required we can act as employer’s agent or contract administrator during the construction phase. This will involve regular site inspections and progress meetings with contractors. We will report back regularly to our clients. We will also value the work that has been carried out on site, certify payments to the contractor and produce regular cost reports for the client. We work closely with the rest of the design and construction team to make sure that everyone benefits from their knowledge and experience and so will be flexible to ensure the best outcomes for our clients.
Many projects for our clients start with a feasibility study. This can be very comprehensive and detailed or, in many cases, a brief overview of a site or building that concentrates on the potential risks that may be encountered in developing that site. We are very conscious that these initial reports are time critical and so we are able to turn them around quickly and will always include a presentation or verbal debrief of our findings. Feasibility reports often raise additional questions which we will respond to as part of our service.
